It’s playoff season, and the action is heating up! In a year where West Orange didn’t get the recognition it deserved, the Warriors are proving the doubters wrong. After an epic 26-25 comeback win against Plant City, West Orange, along with six other Orlando-area teams, is keeping their championship hopes alive. Let’s break it all down!

West Orange’s Grit Shines Bright

This season, West Orange (10-2) flew under the radar. But in the playoffs, they’ve been impossible to ignore. Down by two scores—twice—the Warriors clawed their way back, showcasing heart and teamwork.

Coach Geno Thompson summed it up best:
“This team sacrifices for each other. Every game, someone new steps up. It’s incredible to see.”

Key players like Brian Dillard, a standout sophomore, delivered big time. Dillard threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for two more. And let’s not forget the big plays:

  • Ivan Taylor turned heads with a 70-yard touchdown catch and a clutch interception.
  • Edison Delgado added a 40-yard touchdown grab.
  • Jayden Ammons and Nemo Burgess powered through for a combined 135 rushing yards.

The Warriors’ offensive line and tight ends were the unsung heroes, paving the way for over 250 rushing yards. West Orange will need every ounce of that energy as they head to the regional finals.
